The IP Federation has written to Kerstin Jorna at DG MARKT highlighting the Federation’s concerns about the present proposals for the Unified Patent Court. Among other things, this makes the following points:

We see nothing to require or commend the involvement of the ECJ, and
The IP Federation has written to the Prime Minister pleading for more discussions to build on the progress that has been made so far towards a better patent system in Europe.
Unfortunately, if there are not significant changes to the proposals, they will clearly create a patent system
