Yesterday (17 September 2026), Dr Bobby Mukherjee, former President of the IP Federation and Immediate Past President of CIPA, represented the IP Federation at the WTO Public Forum in Geneva as a panellist in “Joint Diagnostics Lab: Making IP & Services Work for MSMEs“. Moderated by Matthew Wilson, Ambassador of Barbados to the United Nations Office at Geneva, the session also featured Marco Aleman, Assistant Director General of WIPO, and Barbara Ramos, Chief of Strategies and Policies for Trade and Investment at ITC.
The discussion examined the challenges faced by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises participating in service-driven value chains across borders. Through entrepreneur case studies, live polling and audience engagement, panellists and participants worked together to identify practical solutions, policy actions and evidence gaps that could help micro, small and medium-sized enterprises make better use of intellectual property and services to support international growth.
